PERTH SC GO DOWN TO OLYMPIC

Aug 17, 2025

Perth SC went down 2-0 to last year’s league champions Olympic Kingsway in the last NPLM fixture for 2025 at Dorrien Gardens on Saturday.

The Azzurri stayed with Olympic during the first half, although lacked a cutting edge up front and had keeper Mateusz Zaniewski in excellent form, denying Tyler Garner, Joe Hobson and Will Richards with some excellent saves.

But the visitors grabbed the lead in the 69th minute, when Olympic substitute Liam Boland’s cross found Hobson at the back post, who set up Garner for the finish.

Boland then put the result beyond doubt in the 90th minute, tapping in Lebib Lebib’s cross to double Olympic’s advantage.

The Azzurri remain in sixth spot on the NPLM ladder with one round remaining and travel to Frank Drago Reserve on Saturday in the final game of the season to take on the current league leaders, and likely champions, Bayswater City.
