We’re proud to share that our PSC Blind Football Team continues to remain undefeated during our fourth year running, following another two exciting matches today.
Our first match was against the Perth Soccer Club U18s Women’s team.
It was a competitive and spirited game, with the girls showing incredible heart, determination, and tactical control throughout.
Their close ball control and quick transitions challenged us, pushing us into a defensive setup at times. Our team responded with disciplined structure and sharp passing, utilising the width of the court to great effect. A special mention to their goalkeeper for getting a hand to every shot and pulling off some outstanding saves, and to Joanne, who stood out with a strong leadership performance.
In our second match, we welcomed youth players from Ben O’Neil’s TFD squad. They embraced the challenge of blind futsal with maturity and a real eagerness to adapt beyond their comfort zone. Despite our side netting a few impressive goals and holding the clean sheet, their energy, willingness to learn, and sportsmanship were commendable.
As always, the sessions were not only fun and exciting but also mentally and physically demanding—true tests of skill, communication, and resilience for all involved.
I would also like to provide much appreciation to Perth PC U18s Women’s team Head Coach Renee Atkinson for her support today and of our program.
