Perth SC drew 1-1 with Sorrento on Saturday night at Macedonia Park to remain unbeaten in Group B of the 2025 Night Series after three matches.
The Azzurri went ahead in the 13th minute after a strike from Ethan Banks and should have been further ahead after controlling most of the match.
However an unfortunate own goal by Perth SC defender Federico Achilli on the hour mark gave Sorrento the momentum and some clutch saves from Azzurri goalkeeper Mark Birighitti ensured we came away with a point.
The Azzurri are now third in Group B after three games with five points, two points behind group leaders Stirling Macedonia and on goal difference to second placed Sorrento. The top two qualify for the semi-finals.
The boys are back in action on Friday night at Dorrien Gardens against Western Knights, currently in fifth place in the group with three points. Kick-off is 8.30pm.
