Our Story

Perth SC is the State’s most successful football club. Since our formation in 1948, we have been crowned champions of Western Austrialia on 26 occasions.

Our success has been built on our values of integrity, respect, ambition, effort, teamwork and community.

These are the values that were instilled in us by our founders a group of Italian migrants from the WA Italian Club and still hold true today.

Our founders, many of who were in a new country to build a new life, used football to socialise and become part of the local community.

They name the club Azzurri, which still remains the nickname of Perth SC today pointing to our Italian migrant heritage.

Perth SC has produced a number of players who have gone on to represent Australian national teams at both youth and senior levels and become professional footballers and internation players in their own right.

More importantly, Perth SC has played a key development role in thousands of young men and women that have become active and positive contributors in our local community.

Perth SC has evolved over more than 70 years, but we remain true to our values and our purpose to make our members better players and better people.

This is why we will continue to create lifelong members and supporters of our club, who will pass on their love and passion for Perth SC to the next generation.

We believe in the honesty and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles. Our success will be achieved playing by the rules and being guided by our values.

Respect

Is the glue that holds our club together. We admire and appreciate the hard work, dedication and passion of our members and volunteers. We also remain humblem both as individuals and as a club, and express gratitude to our players, coaches, volunteers and opponents.

Ambition

We will strive for maximum performance through continuous improvement. Our players, teams and members have a desire to perform at their ver highest level possible, both on and off the field at all times.

Effort

We believe in reward for effort. Dedication, sacrifice and perseverance can take us to unthinkable heights and achieve goals and objectives that sometimes seem distant or inaccessible. Effort often leads to long-term reward. Luck, opportunism and the search for a quick win are only momentary rewards that do not provide long-lasting benefits.

Team Work

We believe success is a collaborative effort and cannot be achieved if left to individuals to carry the burden. The most effective and efficient way to achieve a common goal or complete a task is as team.

Community

We believe it is the role of our club to be a positive and active member of our local community. Our doors and our hearts are always open to our neighbours. We will provide access to our facilities, expertise and network and support local community groups and events.
